How do you dream, embrace life, seek friendships and creativity? How do you live an inspired life?
For years and like most Mothers my time has been focused on children, marriage, home... and of course it still is...maybe even more so with the added bonus of grandchildren....but it's different now.
I like to call it the "Home is empty but the heart is full" stage of life.
Back when children were at home I understood what needed to happen each day and planned for it....I worked out a lot of my creative need.... for them and on them...(sorry kids) I heard a lot of- Oh no, Mom's moving the furniture again. Or what is this for? ???
Now the kids are gone....who can I create with?! I'm going to put myself out there on limb now....creating can be a lonely place....especially if you are like me and draw creative energy from others.
(sometimes I wonder...don't we all love to create...or am I a little crazy that way? Hm-mm don't answer that =)
I've dreamed for year of having a place that brings women together in a creative friendly way..This is where I get a little giddy.....having Flourish has been a dream I've had for many years...and with the help of great friends and family....it is here. Happy Day!

Everyone of us deserves a place to create, laugh, share, get a little giddy, learn something new....I hope Flourish can be that place for you.

Bree and I got a little dirty preparing for Lunch and Learn.... seriously we don't make you sit through a long lesson....it's just a fun tip....takes all of 30 seconds...and you get a prize for free...Holy Cow!
Walk over from work with your own lunch ...you can talk as loud as you want...we don't care.
Did I mention its free and you get a prize? (until we run out.....can't make a million you know =)

There is no set time to stay....just pop in....come and go as you please.

I'm from Newman but I now live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband, Russell.
I love creating things and with such adorable nephews, I wanted to make them something in trend but also memorable and different.
That's how I came up with these hand-stamped creations!

April 9th was our Vintage Coffee Bean Burlap Message Board craft night. Using old coffee bags we made a message board and created banners with the left over burlap.
Blue dot boxes tried up with newspaper ribbons.
It was so fun seeing everyone put there very own "creative touch" to their message board.
I love how their message boards turned out!

Yesterday we gathered at Flourish for a ribbon cutting ceremony...sponsored by Newman Chamber of commerce....set up through Michael Passarelli.... Here are a few fun pictures. City officials were there along with Miss Newman and her court and Little Miss Newman.
