I decided to go with the Happy Day America theme for the July windows at Flourish. Neva Jean was so excited about it...because she got to dress up as Miss USA or Miss Flourish. {Hard choice.=)
Bree was so kind as to come and help me....she has been my right hand man woman.
Step one-
Dressing Neva Jean and hanging lanterns, ribbon and stars
I've said this before...but it truly is hard to get a good picture of the windows at Flourish, because of all the light reflections. ( going to try later this evening to see if I can get a better picture}
Window 2
I used an old rusty iron bed springs for a form to hang the flags from.
Adding large white crepe paper streamers.
Bree and I had a blast putting these windows together....all went great....well, there was a little bonk on the head (smile}...not to worry no blood was spilled.....and I will live.
Just yesterday....put up a new design on the chalk wall.
Are you an artist? Want to create something on my chalk wall? Would love for you to create something on the chalk wall for July....send me an email if you want to come play.
We had an awesome Lunch and Learn last Wednesday. We made paper plate baskets!
Happy Day.

Sometimes things don't work out like we planned....Sometimes they work out in unexpected fun ways! A few weeks ago this class was full...then a few had to back out....then we had a few more. (Between school and sickness oh My, Note to self....don't plan a class during the last week of school and before a wedding. =)
Yes, these two awesome ladies made the class....their own little private party!
Thanks Ladies- I know it could of been awkward for you... (surprise private party and all =)
I had a wonderful evening...so fun getting to know you better....and Don't forget...please share your pictures from Cousin camp and the party in a couple weeks!
Creative Women are Awesome!
And you know when you have your own little private party...you get to eat all the treats!
These fun little serving dishes were a gift from my sisters for my birthday; love them and the dishes too .
Oh and while we are talking about cute little things....see that new little chalkboard on the table...also a gift....thanks Amy....I know I will be using it a lot!
Happy Day!
One more picture...just so you can see how cute the inside of the pan is.
As we were spraying the hardened paper covered balloons with spray adhesive.... (so we could put the fiber fill on them)
I said- Hope we don't pass out from the fums.
Bree- Yeah, then we would be on cloud 9! Made us laugh so hard!
(maybe it was the fums...but we thought it was pretty funny.}
The windows from inside flourish looking out.
The Sail was made from an old drop cloth.
Neva Jean is wearing one of my swim suit cover ups....We thought about putting her in a swim suit....but then worried that she would be uncomfortable having all who walked by staring at her in her swim suit. So, we opted for the cover up for modesty reasons. =)
The finished windows-
It is so hard to get a picture without a reflection in it...

Saturday was our Mothers Day Celebration- What an awesome group of women who came to share the event.
Here's a little look into the event.
How the room was "dressed"- Chalkboard art, fresh flowers and pink puff tissue balls.
The "Mothers Day" box was a door prize. Spa in a box.
Each napkin had a quote from "Downtown Abby"
A box was placed at each setting- containing ....items for the craft. Each one was given a mini cup and plate- to write their own- Poems, art or words of love.
Craft box - vintage ribbon and mini plate and cup.
A little bird at each setting- I found the card here.
Each person received a vintage linen bag with handmade soap by Donya's Naturally.
The Food-
I forgot to get a picture of the little sandwich at each place- a Chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts- wrapped in paper tied with twine and topped with a daisy. Something like the picture below.
The Fun-
I had a blast with these lovely ladies....such fun. Thanks gals for making it such a fun event.
Our goal was to get a picture with each of the ladies and their handbags-
